Simulated Invasion of an Alien Star, Capture of Mars and Uranus. Part 2

Solar System

In this video you can see the hypothetical invasion of an alien star into our Solar System and the consequences of the approach of this star with the Sun. This video is a continuation of the previous video available here: Simulated invasion of an alien star, capture of Mars and Uranus.

See all the details in the previous video. This video differs in that the orbits are drawn not relative to any object (Sun, star or planet), but relative to a point that was originally the center of mass of the Solar System. This allows you to clearly see the change in the position of the Sun under the influence of gravity of an alien star. The elliptical orbits of the planets in this case look loopy. It also becomes more clear why Jupiter left the Solar System and did not join an alien star.

The size of planets and the Sun and the alien star are not shown on a scale relative to the size of the orbits. The video shows a time interval of 500 years.

See with subtitles.

The video was made using own software.

The tracks ‘Marianas’ by Quincas Moreira and ‘Pure Potentiality’ by Benjamin Martins sound in this video.
